Video: Neato Botvac Connected Unboxing and Setup

Part of a well-rounded smart home should include plenty of gadgets and other device that automate things in your life that you do on a daily or semi-daily basis.  Turning on and off the lights with the sunset, bringing those shades up when the heat beats down on your home and even vacuuming your floors for you are all important components of a smart home.  Neato debuted its Botvac Connected not too long ago and has laid claim to having the smartest robot vacuum on the market.  It’s any wonder that they do thanks to an advanced app that not only lets you manually control cleanings and other options, but also lets you start and stop the vacuum right from your Android Wear powered smartwatch.

We’ve got our own Neato Botvac Connected in-house and are unboxing it for you so you can find out what $699 buys you.  If that weren’t enough we walk you through the steps to get it setup and connected with both your phone and watch, and a quick look at what the app contains as well.  While you’re waiting for the review of the Neato Botvac Connected don’t forget to check out our recently published review on the iRobot Roomba 980, which is the main competitor to the Neato Botvac Connected in many ways.  How well does the Botvac Connected stand up to the Roomba 980, especially since it’s $200 cheaper?  We’ll get back to you on that, but for now check out the vacuum in action below.
