Xiaomi Unveils A 10,000mAh Power Bank With USB Type-C

As you all probably know by now, Xiaomi has introduced their new Mi 5 flagship during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month. Most of Xiaomi-related news lately are all about the Mi 5, but the company has just unveiled a rather interesting announced. This China-based smartphone manufacturer tends to release all sorts of devices, not only smartphones, and they have quite a few smartphone accessories in their lineup. Well, Xiaomi has introduced a new power bank recently, read on.

If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get a good look at Xiaomi’s all-new power bank. Now, this power bank is named MI Powerbank Pro, it is made out of aluminum, and it has a 10,000mAh battery capacity, while it also offers fast charging for a variety of voltages (5V/2A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A). These are actually great news, as you’ll be able to charge not only your mobile devices, but various accessories using this power bank. Now, on top of all that, the Mi Powerbank Pro also comes with a USB Type-C port, which means you can use it to charge up your Type-C devices as well. This power bank ships with an 18W charger, and according to Xiaomi, the Mi Powerbank Pro takes three and a half hours to charge from 0% to 100%, which is not bad considering we’re looking at a 10,000mAh battery here, not to mention that Xiaomi’s last-gen 10,500mAh power bank takes around 7 hours to fully charge. This power bank measures 128.5 x 75 x 12.6mm, while it weighs 223 grams, and it is also worth mentioning that the company has included nine layers of circuit protection here, just to make sure nothing goes wrong while the power bank is plugged in. The USB smart-control is also included as yet another layer of protection when your devices are charging through the Mi Powerbank Pro.

Now, you’re probably wondering when will this accessory going to be available, and how much it costs, right? Xiaomi has introduced this accessory in China, and it will be available in China soon for 149 Yuan ($22), though we still don’t know when will it roll out to the global market. We are fairly certain you will see this accessory in markets outside of Asia soon, and the moment we stumble upon more info, we’ll make sure to let you know.
