With one of the internet’s most popular websites finally receiving their official Android app, Reddit is easily one of the most talked about offerings today. Users shouldn’t forget though that there are a handful of Reddit apps available on the Play Store and more than a few of them have some pretty decent features as well as great user interfaces. One of those options is Go For Reddit, a slick third-party Reddit app with material design, an easy to navigate toolbar up top to move between your different pages, and a pretty robust search feature that makes it easy to pinpoint the Reddit content you’re looking for.
If this is your first introduction to Go For Reddit, the app features more than a visually appealing interface, although it is worth noting that the UI does have the ability to change between three different themes, including a light theme like you see in the image above, a dark theme like in the gallery images, and a black theme. Themes and UI aside, Go For Reddit offers up home page personalization, allowing the user to keep the feed full of random posts, r/All posts, or their own personal front page, which you’ll only see if you’re signed into the app.
If you have friends who frequent Reddit as much as you do, the app allows you set and follow them so you can always see their posts with little effort, and you can message any Reddit user a simple tap on the floating action button. Also located within the FAB is the ability to post a new link as well as post a new image, so you can create new posts and send a message quickly. Go For Reddit supports multiple accounts too so if you have more than one you can sign into all of them and switch between them easily, and if you have the need you can turn on the NSFW filter feature to keep those types of posts from popping up. Go For Reddit is a free Reddit app, however, it does have IAP’s and a small ad bar at the bottom of the screen, luckily the bottom ad is the only one in sight.
