Google Enables Search To Teach Animal Sounds

Google Search may be a common tool used to find the closest hotspots for dinner and drinks or to find out the flight times for your trip abroad, but Google Search is also capable of so much more than those common inquiries, like finding campaign finance information. Over the last few years, it seems like Google has been working tirelessly to make Search as powerful as possible and this includes enabling it to do some rather interesting things. One of the latest abilities discovered is that Google Search can now apparently teach animal sounds which should be a perfect way to help kids learn the different sounds that animals make, as opposed to using simple things like flash cards.

Although children might typically have used a toy like a see and say to learn the sounds for things like a pig, cow, or other animals, now with the power of Google Search you can simply ask it a question about a particular animal sound and it will pop up the result with the ability to tap the sound to hear it. This button is also located next to the sound written out in text so you can both hear the sound as well as read how it’s pronounced. Although this might generally be more useful for those who are younger or need to learn animal sounds, it might be fun for anyone else who just wants to play with the new capability Google Search has inherited.

Below the animal sound a user initially asks about, there is a carousel list of other results that you can sift through, and there are buttons to tap to hear the sounds and the written out pronunciations for each card on the carousel so there shouldn’t be much of a need to research for something unless there is a specific card that isn’t displayed which you’re looking for. There are a wide variety of different animal noises which Google Search has the ability to display and play back including horses, elephants, turkeys, pigs, cows, dogs, cats, roosters, and more. If you find yourself having a need for something to help along this very particular learning process, Google Search now has you covered with a tool that is already in your pocket.
