HTC 10 Available to Pre-Order Unlocked from HTC

After all of the leaks, rumors and less-than-stellar secrecy from HTC, their latest and greatest flagship, the HTC 10, is finally official. Many of those aforementioned leaks and rumors came true today, and the HTC 10 is pretty much what we were expecting, which is to say that this is one of the best smartphones that HTC has launched in the past few years. With a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM, as well as a Quad HD display at long last, this year’s flagship from HTC has all the right bells and whistles for a 2016 flagship. While it doesn’t appear as though – for now – that the HTC will be available on AT&T, it’s been confirmed that Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon will all be carrying the device. If you can’t wait for the carriers to get their pre-order pages up and what to put down some cash on the HTC 10 right away, you can order one directly from HTC.

Just as with last year’s HTC One A9, the HTC 10 will be available directly from HTC and is ready to order right now. This is an Unlocked GSM device and should work perfectly on both AT&T and T-Mobile, but at $699 for the 32GB model, the HTC 10 isn’t cheap. HTC will however, offer a couple of ways to shoulder the cost, including a no interest instalment plan and a trade-in offer. The instalment plan offer requires that the $699 price be paid in full within 12 months to avoid any interest, while the trade-in offer will require you to send in a device and wait for a check. This might not be a great route to go down, as a quick check reveals that some of the prices offered aren’t too great, and there are no bonus points awarded for trading in an HTC device.

There are three options to choose from, including the T-Mobile and AT&T options, but as this is a GSM device, we’re assuming that all three of them will result in the same device, as they’re all priced at $699, which is the device’s full retail price. The two colors on offer from HTC include the Carbon Gray and Glacial Silver, which means that the Topaz Gold won’t be available in an unlocked flavor, at least right now, anyway. If you want to pre-order an unlocked HTC 10 you can do so right here.
