HTC has already announced that their new flagship, the HTC 10, will be introduced on April 12th. Earlier today, Qualcomm confirmed that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, and even the pricing and release date leaked for the device. According to the leak, the 32GB model of the device will cost NT$22,900 ($706) in Taiwan, and the 64GB variant will set you back NT$24,900 ($768). The phone is expected to go on sale on April 16th in Taiwan, at least according to the leaked info.
Just as we thought HTC 10-related rumors / leaks are over for today, a new leak surfaced, well, two actually. The HTC 10 benchmark results from both GFXBench and Geekbench popped up and revealed the phone’s specifications. According to the provided info, the HTC 10 will sport a 5.1-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB of RAM. The phone will be fueled by the aforementioned Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. The 12-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of the HTC 10, and a 5-megapixel unit will be available up front. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the phone with HTC’s Sense 8 UI available on top of it. Now, in addition to all this, Geekbench also revealed benchmark results of the HTC 10. The phone managed to score 2,287 points in the single-core, and 5,275 points in the multi-core test.
Now, based on leaked images, the HTC 10 will be made out of metal, but unlike its predecessors, ti will sport a physical home button, much like the HTC One A9. The fingerprint scanner is also going to be a part of the package, and it will be built into the home button. The phone will ship with a 3,000mAh+ battery, and the unit will be non-removable. That is more or less all the info that we have at the moment, HTC did promise great camera, performance and sound here, so we guess the BoomSound speakers will be a part of this package as well.
