As LG and Samsung got the year of big releases started with the launch of the G5 and Galaxy S7, respectively, it’s now HTC’s turn. The HTC 10 was announced not too long ago, and while it’s available to purchase directly from HTC themselves as well as through Sprint and T-Mobile, it’s finally coming to one of the two biggest networks; Verizon. Whether or not the HTC 10 is to hit AT&T in some form or another is still unclear, but for now those on Verizon – or thinking of joining Verizon via the HTC 10 – will be able to pre-order HTC’s latest and greatest. The HTC 10, as we found in our review, represents the best smartphone that HTC has ever made, and now those on Verizon know how much it’s going to cost them.
Just as it is direct from HTC or on other carriers, the HTC 10 isn’t going to come cheap on Verizon. Its full price for the 32GB model (which is also the only one available from Verizon) is $648, which is pretty steep for something like this. Of course, those looking to spread the cost can do so for $22.83 for 24 months, which means you’ll only be paying $548.00. It’s not clear why those looking to pay upfront are being slapped with an extra $100 charge here, but the majority of users will plump for the former option anyway. It doesn’t appear as though there are any promotions or anything that Verizon is running for the new HTC 10, but as the version from HTC doesn’t support Verizon, this might be your only option.
For a reminder, the HTC 10 is a 5.2-inch Quad HD device with a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM along with a fingerprint sensor, an UltraPixel rear-facing camera and a selfie camera with optical image stabilization for sharper selfies no matter what you’re doing. While pre-orders are open from today, Verizon have said that the HTC 10 won’t arrive on people’s doorsteps until May 5th, which isn’t too long a wait. Along with the LG G5 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the HTC 10 represents a solid device that isn’t too big, but still offers all of the same features and specs.
