LG, Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei have already announced their new flagship offerings, and it’s HTC’s turn now. This Taiwan-based company has sent out invites for their April 12th event during which the company will introduce their long-awaited HTC 10 flagship. HTC hasn’t been doing all that well as far as smartphone sales go, and they’re hoping that the HTC 10 will make a difference. The company has been teasing this device for quite some time now, mainly its allegedly great camera, audio and design. The white HTC 10 leaked quite recently, and now we have some newly leaked info to share with you, read on.
Now, according to this new leak, the HTC 10 will be available starting April 15th in Taiwan. It seems like there will be two HTC 10 storage variants available out in the market, the 32GB and 64GB models. The 32GB model is said to cost NT$22,900 ($706) in Taiwan, while the 64GB variant will set you back NT$24,900 ($768). The pricing info is not the only HTC 10-related rumor that surfaced today, the company’s Sense 8 UI also appeared along with the pricing of the device. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the alleged Sense 8 UI based on Android Marshmallow. Now, first and foremost, it is worth noting that this appears to be some sort of a customized theme applied to Sense, and as you can see, the on-screen buttons are nowhere to be found. This suggests that the physical home button will be present here, as the leaks have been suggesting. The leaked Sense 8 UI screenshots also say that NFC will be included in the HTC 10, and that’s pretty much it.
The HTC 10 is said to sport a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. The 12-megapixel snapper is rumored to be available on the back of the HTC 10, and a 5-megapixel shooter will probably going to be located up front. Rumors also say that the HTC 10 will sport IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, and Android Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this phone along with the company’s Sense 8 UI.
