LG G5 is one of the most popular smartphones at the moment. LG has introduced their new flagship during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February, and the device currently has limited availability, but will roll out to more markets soon. That being said, LG has introduced quite a few smartphones this year, including the entry-level K7 and K10 handsets which were introduced during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) back in January.
It was announced quite recently that these two handsets will launch in India on April 14th, and that has just happened. This Korean smartphone manufacturer has introduced the two phones in India, the LG K7 comes in Titan, Gold and White color options, while the K10 will be available in White, Indigo and Gold color variants. The smaller, K7 handset is priced at Rs. 9,500 ($142) in the country, while the larger K10 unit costs Rs. 13,500 ($202). These two devices have been manufactured in India, in the company’s Noida plant, and are launched by telecom and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. The company actually plans to manufacture 1 million smartphones in the Noida plant before the end of this year, in case you were wondering. It is also worth mentioning that the two phones are officially called ‘LG K7 LTE’ and ‘LG K10 LTE’ in India.
The LG K7 LTE features a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) In-Cell Touch 2.5D curved display, along with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 210 64-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.1GHz, along with the Adreno 304 GPU. The 5-megapixel snapper is available both on the front and back of this phone, and a 2,125mAh battery is also a part of this package. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with LG’s custom UI available on top of it. The phone measures 143.6 x 72.5 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 141 grams.
The LG K10, on the other hand, sports a 5.3-inch 720p (1280 x 720) panel, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This device is fueled by the Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor, and the Adreno 306 GPU is available on the inside. The 13-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel unit is placed on its front side. The 2,300mAh battery is also a part of the package, and so is 4G LTE connectivity, as the phone’s name says. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here as well, and LG’s UI is also available on top of it. The LG K10 LTE measures 146 x 74.8 x 8.8mm, and it weighs 140 grams.
