Qualcomm is one of the leading mobile chip manufacturers for devices the world over, and while you can find their processors inside of smartphones, tablets, smart home products and more, CPUs and GPUs aren’t the only thing Qualcomm has up its sleeves. It’s also one of the leading companies for fast charging technology, and its Quick Charge capabilities can be found in tons of different handsets and other devices these days, with Quick Charge 3.0 being the latest iteration. Today, Qualcomm Technologies has just announced that it has been successful in getting its Quick Charge 3.0 technology to be adopted by even more mobile products to help it continue expanding the overall reach that Quick Charge 3.0 has on the consumer market.

Quick Charge 3.0 is the latest fast charging standard from Qualcomm and can be found inside of devices which are equipped with the Snapdragon 820 processor. This includes the all new HTC 10 that was just announced yesterday morning, but it also includes other mobile devices like the LeEco Le Max Pro, the LG G5, and the Xiaomi Mi 5 just to name a few. Quick Charge 3.0 isn’t just limited to smartphones though as you can find it inside of power banks from APG Technology and RAVPower among others, as well the HP Elite X3 computing system.

Quick Charge 3.0 allows for nearly a full battery charge in just a little over a half hour, more specifically up to 80% power in the battery in just 35 minutes, which Qualcomm states is 27% faster than their previous version of the technology, Quick Charge 2.0. While you can find Quick Charge in all sorts of devices, Quick Charge 3.0 at this point will be found mostly in smartphones. Qualcomm also states that more Quick Charge 3.0 compatible devices and mobile devices accessories are expected to be announced by the manufacturers that produce them in the coming months ahead, further growing the selection of devices for consumers that have Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology integrated. Beyond that, Qualcomm also mentions that more types of products which support Quick Charge 3.0 technology are expected to be released throughout 2016, although they haven’t mentioned any specifics in regards to what those product categories are or what products would be included in them.
