Samsung is no stranger to promotions. Not only do they have a winning marketing team who knows how to market their brand out to consumers, but Samsung is also good at enticing customers into using their products and services with special promotions every so often. Back in the beginning of March, Samsung started running a limited-time promotion that would reward Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge buyers with a $30 gift card for making their very first Samsung Pay purchase. While that particular offer is over as it ended March 31st, Samsung now has a new promotion for Samsung Pay users to check out.
Essentially it’s the same as the last promotion although there are a couple of differences. Samsung device owners who use Samsung Pay to purchase goods will end up receiving a $30 gift card after they make three purchases with Samsung Pay. The requirements state that they have to be the first three successful Samsung Pay transactions, so if you already received the $30 gift card for the promotion last month you won’t be eligible for this $30 gift card as it is still aimed at new Samsung Pay users who haven’t actually completed a transaction with the service yet. It’s unfortunate that users won’t be able to redeem both, but it also seems fair for Samsung to lock out earlier customers who have already gotten a reward from the previous promo.
The other difference is that this isn’t limited to just those that have purchased a Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung mentions that it does have to be a “qualifying device,” but that includes the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Active, S6 Edge+, Note 5, S7 and/or S7 Edge so it really isn’t locking out anyone as every Samsung Pay compatible device is eligible for the offer if they have never used Samsung Pay. The promotion starts tomorrow, April 15th, and will continue all the way through until May 10th, so there is plenty of time to make a few purchases with Samsung Pay and redeem the gift card. Your bank and card will still have to support Samsung Pay of course, so you’ll want to double-check that your bank is compatible. As far as the gift cards themselves, Best Buy, eBay, Regal Entertainment, and GameStop are the cards you can choose from.
