AidMaid – Personal emergency guardian is an app which is tailored to helping people alert others in times of danger. If you’re in trouble, AidMaid seeks to be the help you need by alerting friends, family, and other personal contacts that you might need help. Its main goal is to send out alerts in the event of an emergency, and it can do so in a couple of different ways. There’s also integrated maps powered by Google Maps, so you can see where you are and where others are who might need help. AidMaid looks like it could be a big help to anyone who wants to be prepared in the event of an emergency, so let’s take a closer look at what it has to offer.
Before you can get started with using AidMaid, you’ll want to head to the Play Store and download the app and install it, then you can begin with setting it up and have it ready in the event you need assistance.
Right from the beginning, AidMaid walks you through a few different things that it’s capable of doing, pretty much like a little tutorial or welcome guide that runs through a list of features, after which you sign in with your phone number and you’re good to go.
The first thing you see when you open up the application is the map with your location pin, and a few little buttons down at the bottom for showing the nearby help alerts, centering on your location, and a button to place an alert for help in the event of an emergency.
You will need to setup a list of contacts to be alerted anytime you press the help button which is the button on the right at the bottom of the map screen.
If you swipe your finger to the left from the edge of the display, you’ll move through other screens like the panic screen, which has a large panic button that sounds off an alarm, and a button for alerting the local authorities, and a livestream button for streaming the surroundings to contacts. The last screen is where you’ll find the app settings to configure everything.
There’s also an option for AidMaid users to view areas with high crime rate on the map so they can avoid traveling through these areas if at all possible.
On the settings page you’ll find options like configuring the local police phone number, this is also where you set up the contacts you want notified, and there are options you can enable or disable for sending GPS location and sharing to social networks that you’re in need of help. You control what the application will do when you hit the panic button.
In addition to the Base app, AidMaid also has a dedicated alert icon which you can open up and it will immediately start sounding the alarm noise. As part of this feature, you can shake your device anytime you’re in trouble and the siren will go off, messages and push notifications are sent, and an alert is posted on the AidMaid discover page; just in case you don’t have time to navigate to and open up the app.
AidMaid Personal Emergency Guardian is a nice idea to help keep people safe and allow them to empower themselves a little bit by giving them easy ways to alert friends, family, and authorities when and if they need help in an emergency. While many people may live in a fairly safe area, there’s nothing wrong with being prepared and having something like this on hand just in case. The app also helps you stay alert for unsafe areas and for anyone else nearby that may need help too.

Overall, AidMaid has the potential to be a very useful application which could help to save lives, simply by giving users an easy way to alert friends & family that they need help. Although perhaps a tad bit sensitive, the ability for the panic alert to go off when you shake the phone is a lot faster than opening up the app and hitting the panic button manually. It’s also useful that you can find and avoid more dangerous areas that have a high rate of crime as you can attempt to lower the need to alert anyone that you’re in an emergency. You can live stream what’s happening around you for friends to watch over you.
