ZUK is a Lenovo-backed company which has introduced their second device yesterday, the ZUK Z2 Pro. This smartphone is a direct successor to the ZUK Z1 which was introduced last year, and it has plenty to offer. The phone sports a 5.2-inch fullHD AMOLED display, 4GB or 6GB of RAM and it is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processors. The device also sports narrow bezels, and 10 sensors overall. On top of all that, the phone is quite affordable, the 6GB RAM variants costs only 2,699 Yuan ($416), while we still don’t know the pricing for the 4GB RAM model.
That being said, one of ZUK’s smartphones is about to become available in India soon, but not the ZUK Z2 Pro. The company has confirmed that the ZUK Z1 will launch in India, and has already sent out invites for the event, even though the date hasn’t been set yet. The company’s invite points to this website, which clearly indicates that the ZUK Z1 will launch in India, not the Z2 Pro. Now, this is quite interesting considering the fact that Indian consumers expected the ZUK Z2 Pro news to surface sometime soon, but it seems like the Z1 will arrive sooner than its successor.
The ZUK Z1 is still quite an appealing phone, especially for the price ZUK is asking for it. The phone sports a 5.5-inch fullHD display, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC, and a 4,100mAh battery is placed on the inside. This smartphone also sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter, and an 8-megapixel front-facing unit. The physical home button is placed up front, and inside of it lays the fingerprint scanner. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll find Cyanogen’s OS (version 12.1). The ZUK Z1 offers fast charging, and there are also two SIM card slots available here (2 x Nano SIM). The phone measures 155.7 x 77.3 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 175 grams.
