Google I/O is just around the corner and as is the case at this time every year, speculation is rife as to what Google will be announcing or introducing during the event. It does seem highly likely now that virtual reality will play a major role and we may even get one or two announcements on Android VR, but that aside, all the other staple Android elements including Android N, Android TV, Android Auto, as well as everything else Google-related will be touched upon as well. You can check out some of what to expect in our Google I/O 2016 preview.
Either way, for those attending the event, Google did recently release an updated version of the Android Google I/O to be in line with this year’s event. So now you can make use of the app to keep you informed of all that is happening, planning your schedule and much more. In fact, if you are not attending the event, the app will still be beneficial as it provides easy access to links for live streaming feeds and just general Google I/O content So it is worth a download whether you are attending or not.
In accordance with what seems to be a continued push towards gaining more iOS users and with Google only yesterday releasing a new keyboard app dubbed ‘Gboard’ (with features which could be soon coming to Android), Google has today announced they have released a Google I/O app for iOS. Marking the first time that the company has done so. As you would expect, the iOS version of the app goes along much of the same lines as the Android version and will be of use to those who own an iOS device and are attending the event or just wanting to stay informed from afar. For those running an iOS device, the app is now available to download from the iTunes. Although, to make use of some of the features, you will need to have and sign in using a Google account and especially to create a custom agenda or receive notifications and so on.
