GREE's Upcoming Flagship Leaks, SD820 & 4GB Of RAM In Tow

GREE is a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company which is not as popular as Xiaomi, Huawei and some other China-based companies are, but they do tend to release an interesting smartphone from time to time. This company has introduced several devices thus far, and even though they weren’t all that popular, GREE gained quite a bit of experience which they can use in their future endeavors. That being said, we haven’t seen a GREE-related rumor / leak in quite some time now, but new info surfaced in China recently, read on.

If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the first image of the company’s upcoming flagship, the GREE 2. This handset resembles Meizu’s devices quite a bit (especially the PRO 5 phablet), and the person using the device is GREE’s President, Dong Mingzhu, which more or less confirms this handset is the real deal. Now, along with this image, the device’s spec sheet also leaked. According to the available info, this handset will sport a 6-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC is said to fuel this device, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. This phablet is also rumored to sport a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. Now, in addition to all this, the source claims that the device will cost 3,000 Yuan ($460), which doesn’t seem to be all that expensive considering the specs included, but we’ll have to wait and see if the phone’s any good before making such remarks.

As you can see, the GREE 2 phablet will sport a physical home button below the display, and even though the source did not mention it, chances are that the fingerprint scanner will be included inside of it. The phone will sport a metallic trim around the device, and its back side will probably be made out of metal as well (unibody design). Both the power / lock and volume rocker physical keys will be placed on the right-hand side of this phone, and as you can see in the images, the device will run GREE’s custom UI on top of Android.
