Lenovo ZUK Z1 Has Been Released In India For $203

Lenovo is one of the largest China-based smartphone manufacturing companies. This company stands behind the ‘ZUK’ brand, a brand that might be familiar to some of you. ZUK has released their first smartphone last year, the ZUK Z1. That handset has been introduced in two variants, the Chinese and international one. The Chinese model shipped out with ZUK’s ZUI OS, while the international variant sported Cyanogen OS out of the box. That being said, ZUK has introduced their second-gen flagship, the ZUK Z2 Pro last month, and many people have been expecting the company to release that handset in India sometime soon. ZUK has, however, opted to introduce the ZUK Z1 in the country instead, which has happened earlier today, read on.

The ZUK Z1 has been introduced in India as ‘Lenovo ZUK Z1’, and it carries the same specs as the original device which was announced last year. First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that this is an international variant of the device which ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12.1 out of the box. Keep in mind that the device is upgradeable to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow which will bring Cyanogen OS 13 to it. The device sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC fuels this smartphone, and a 4,100mAh battery is also available here, and it is not removable. Fast charging is also built into this device, and on the bottom of the Lenovo ZUK Z1 you’ll find a Type-C USB port. The 13-megapixel snapper (Sony’s IMX214 sensor, 1.12um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture) is placed on the back of the device, and an 8-megapixel shooter (OmniVision’s OV8865 sensor, 1.12um pixel size) can be found up front. The phone sports a physical home button below the display, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. 4G LTE is also included here, and there are also two SIM card slots available. The Lenovo ZUK Z1 measures 155.7 x 77.3 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 175 grams.

The device comes is Dark Grey color option only, and it costs Rs. 13,499 ($203) in the country.
