LG G5 Available For Pre-Order In India Starting Tomorrow

The LG G5 is LG’s newest flagship, this device was introduced back in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), and is currently available in quite a few markets. LG heavily redesigned their flagship this time around, and unlike its predecessors, the LG G5 is a semi-modular phone which has a couple of tricks up its sleeve. The company has confirmed that the G5 will be announced in India on May 20th, and today’s the day.

As promised, LG has introduced their new flagship in the country, and as part of the announcement, they have said that the phone will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow. Indian consumers will be able to pre-order the LG G5 exclusively from Flipkart, and the pre-order period will last until May 30th. Now, if you live in India, and you opt to pre-order this device, you’ll also get the LG CAM Plus free of charge. The LG CAM Plus is LG G5’s accessory which basically lets you turn the LG G5 in a camera, well, in a way. This is a module which can be inserted in the bottom part of the device after you remove its ‘chin’, it will give you a physical camera key that you can use, a better way to grip the phone and more battery life. The LG G5 will be available in Silver, Titan, Gold and Pink color options, though LG did not say how much will the phone cost just yet. The device is likely to go on sale in the first week of June, at least according to recent reports.

The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics processing. There are two camera sensors available on the back of this phone, the 16 and 8-megapixel cameras, the latter one comes with a 135-degree wide-angle lens. The 8-megapixel shooter is placed on the front side of the LG G5, and a 2,800mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is removable. Speaking of which, you can also take advantage of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 here, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes out of the box with LG’s custom UI available on top of it. The phone measures 149.4 x 73.9 x 8.6mm, while it weighs 159 grams. The fingerprint and infrared sensors are also included here.
