LG Stylus 2 Plus Phablet Unveiled With Improved Specs

LG is one of the largest tech companies in the world. This Korea-based tech giant sells all sorts of products, from air conditioning systems and TVs, to smartphones and smartwatches. LG has unveiled quite a few smartphones this year, including their LG G5 flagship which was announced back in February. In addition to the LG G5, the company has also unveiled their mid-range LG Stylus 2 phablet in February, a direct successor to the LG G4 Stylus which has landed last year. That being said, the company has just unleashed yet another ‘Stylus’ device, read on.

The company has just announced the LG Stylus 2 Plus, which is essentially a more powerful variant of the LG Stylus 2. This handset sports the same display size and resolution as the LG Stylus 2, but the two devices are not identical, even though they’re quite similar in terms of the design. This phablet sports a 5.7-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Quantum display, 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of expandable internal storage. This phone is fueled by the unnamed octa-core processor running at 1.4GHz, while a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is removable. Now, the LG Stylus 2 Plus comes in two camera variants as well, the lower-end model will ship with a 13-megapixel rear-facing, and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper, while the higher-end variant will come with the 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel combo (rear and front, respectively). The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of the LG Stylus 2 Plus, while you also get 4G LTE connectivity with this device. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this phablet, and on top of it, you’ll find LG’s custom UI, of course. The LG Stylus 2 Plus comes in Titan, Gold and Brown color options, it weighs 145 grams, while it measures 155 x 79.6 x 7.4mm. In addition to all this, it is worth mentioning that the LG Stylus 2 Plus ships with a stylus pen, as its name says.

“The LG Stylus 2 Plus offers users a spacious screen, powerful multimedia functionality and a writing experience at a competitive price. It’s just another example of the constant refinements we’re making to our mobile products to give LG customers a wide variety of features and designs to choose from,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company. The LG Stylus 2 Plus is rolling out today starting in Taiwan, and will then (in a couple of weeks) roll out to other key markets in Asia, South America, Europe and North America. LG did not share any pricing info for the LG Stylus 2 Plus, but we do expect it to be quite affordable.
