Mortal Kombat X Intros New Content For 1-Year Anniversary

Fighting games on mobile devices may not be as complex as they can be on consoles or PC, but that doesn’t take away from the fun and the action that’s baked into some of the best ones. Mortal Kombat X for Android is a great example, offering up simple to use controls with plenty of action and mayhem rolled up into a free game that also has Google Play Games support. Today, Mortal Kombat X has just received its latest update as part of the celebration for launching one year ago, and the update brings along with it tons of new content to experience including new characters, a new faction war store currency, new rewards and a handful of improvements to make the overall experience of the game a whole lot better.

To kick things off, everyone loves rewards, and this update introduces a few of them that players will be able to take advantage of. There are two new character rewards to look out for which include Gold Characters Kobu Jutsu Tanya, and Dark Emperor Liu Kang. There are also three new pieces of equipment that players can get their hands on, which include the bloody voodoo doll, the bloody tomahawk, and the bloody shokan armor.

In addition to the two new gold characters that are part of the new rewards, there are five new challenge characters as well. These will be added over time instead of all at once, and there will be skins that can be obtained as well which include Marksman Kung Jin, Dark Lord Kotal Kahn, Klassik Kano and others. If you engage in the faction wars within the game, following this update you’ll now be able to acquire Blood Rubies to be used in the new Faction War store. There are also a few improvements to note that should better the overall performance of the game as there are some balance updates to the characters and an improved matchmaking system to even things out as much as possible. Lastly, as a nice little perk for those who have been playing the game, a Fujin’s Blessing support card will be awarded alongside additional souls. The update should be live in the Play Store soon, and you can check out the key details of this update in the video below.
