OnePlus 3 Render Leaks, AMOLED Display Rumored

OnePlus 3 is one of the most anticipated Android-powered smartphones this year. This China-based company has introduced three devices thus far, the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X. The first two devices are the company’s flagship smartphones, and the last one is their mid-range offering. The OnePlus 3 is expected to land in July, though some sources have reported that the company might opt to release this phone before the end of this month, we’ll see.

That being said, we’ve seen a number of OnePlus 3 leaks already, a number of alleged OnePlus 3 real life images surfaced recently, and now we have yet another leaked image to share with you. This time around we’re looking at what seems to be an official render of the OnePlus 3, and surprisingly enough, this image goes hand-in-hand to what we’ve seen recently. This image comes from @evelaks aka Evan Blass, and as you can see, its back side still resembles the one on the HTC One M9. It’s hard to differentiate these days as far as the design goes, but it’s kind of hard not to make this comparison. Anyhow, the phone is made out of metal it seems, which means we won’t get the replaceable back covers this time around, presuming the leaks are accurate, of course. If you take a closer look at this image, you’ll notice that the physical volume keys are placed on the left-hand side of this phone, and OnePlus’ physical mute switch is also present here, it’s located above the volume rocker keys. The power / lock switch is located on the right side of the device, as well as the SIM card tray. The fingerprint scanner is placed below the display, as you can see in the image, but we still don’t know if this will be a physical button, or just a capacitive button / fingerprint scanner like last year. The phone will also feature a bottom-facing loud speaker, at least according to this image, and next to it you’ll notice the Type-C USB port and the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Now, in addition to this image, @evleaks has also said that the OnePlus 3 will ship with an AMOLED display, and a 3,000mAh battery. In addition to that info, the device is expected to sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) panel, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC will quite probably fuel this smartphone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on it with OnePlus’ Oxygen OS available on top of it. OnePlus will include some sort of fast charging solution here, they’ve recently trademarked the ‘Dash Charge’ name, so it is possible they won’t use Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0.
