Celebrities in video games is hardly a new concept, but more and more video game publishers have been contracting celebrities for a likeness in new game titles recently, and on mobile the latest to join in on this sort of partnership is Megan Fox, having lent her likeness to Plarium for the launch of their popular strategy game on mobile called Stormfall: Rise of Balur, which just launched this morning on Android. Much like Kate Upton can be seen within the Age of War mobile game which is a similar title, Stormfall: Rise of Balur tasks players with building up defenses and strongholds while waging war on enemies in a part MMO and part strategy game.
Stormfall is a free-to-play title which means there will be in-app purchases but they shouldn’t be obtrusive. In the game, the likeness of Megan Fox can be seen as the character named Amelia Delthanis who is a captain of the high council guard. As new players start up the game for the first time, Delthanis will guide them through the beginning as they get the hang of how to play, acting as sort of tutorial to assist players in learning the game’s different elements. Plarium states that Amelia is the first new character to join the game in a series others that will show up as part of various updates over the coming months, and that the game will soon end up with a single player campaign alongside the already existing multiplayer experience.
While the game will have role playing missions and quests for players, much of the action will be centered around the PvP battles and other activities that allow you to interact with other players in one way or another. Players can raid the defenses of others while trying their best to defend their own towns. Battles and wars are ongoing as this is an online experience, so players will likely always find themselves at war with someone. Players can better their standing by forging alliances with other groups of players too, and conquer other alliances for dominance. Stormfall: Rise of Balur is already live in the Play Store and can be downloaded now for those who enjoy strategy games.
