The Rock, or as those that aren’t fans of the WWE may know him as, Dwayne Johnson, has released his very own app today on both Android and iOS. Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest stars in the world right now and the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Not only is he acting as Hobbs in the Fast and Furious franchise, but also starring in Baywatch as well as his own HBO show, Ballers. Not to mention the fact that he is a member of the WWE and was at WrestleMania 32 last month in Dallas, TX. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is always coming out with new things, and earlier this year, he partnered with Under Armor for their Healthbox with HTC that was announced at CES. Now he’s back with an alarm clock.
However, this isn’t just any alarm clock. What we are looking at here is The Rock Clock. Including the lack of a snooze feature, as the developers at his production company “7 Bucks Entertainment” wrote in the description of the app, “The Rock is not a fan of that button”. There are also 25 custom alarm tones that were created by The Rock himself. There’s also “Rock Time” which syncs your alarm with Dwayne’s alarm. So that you are waking up at the same time he does. Which is typically around 4:15am. Not the time that most of us want to be waking up. Best of all, the app features exclusive video messages from The Rock. They are inspiring, funny, and authentic from The Rock. It’s a pretty interesting Alarm Clock app, and probably the best one out there.
The app is free on the Google Play Store – as well as the Apple App Store for those on iOS – and there are no in-app purchases. It does also work with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and higher, which should support the majority of Android devices out there right now. It’s a pretty small one, which comes in at about 36 megabytes in size. So there should be plenty of room on your device to install The Rock Clock. It’ll definitely be interesting to wake to The Rock singing “Good Morning Sunshine”.
