If you’re into Android games, chances are you’ve heard of a game developing studio called ‘Halfbrick Studios’. This company stands behind a number of Android-powered games, like Monster Dash, Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. That being said, a while back, this company has released yet another game which turned out to be quite popular, a game called ‘Star Skater’, which we’ll talk about in this article, read on.
The ‘Star Skater’ is a rather cute looking game which might seem familiar to some of you. No, this is not a remake of an older title, but it has a similar approach as some other titles out there. To cut the long story short, you’re basically a skater and your goal is to go through levels as fast as you can while earning cast in order to improve. You’ll stumble upon various obstacles on the way, and time is of the essence, of course. This game is actually quite interesting and fun, as other similar games are. It’s fast-paced and you’ll hardly get bored quickly, not to mention there are various customization options available inside of the game. You’ll be able to customize your ride and use different characters (like a gorilla and a skeleton, for example) as you progress. The gameplay is quite straightforward as well, all you need to do is touch left or right part of the display in order to turn, plus you have some gestures in order to make your character slow down , so that you can prevent him / her from crashing somewhere along the way. The Star Skater features cartoonish graphics, everything is designed using sharp edges, including characters, which gives this game a somewhat different spin than other similar games available out there.
The Star Skater is free to play, though do keep in mind in-app purchases are available inside of this game, they’re at your disposal if you’d like to buy extra characters or something of the sort. The game currently holds a 4.1-star rating in the Google Play Store, and has been downloaded somewhere between 1 million and 5 million times. That’s pretty much it, if you’d like to check out the promo video and official images, take a look at the content down below.
