Earlier in the year at MWC 2016, Sony announced the launch of a number of new handsets which form the newly-created Xperia X range. These consisted of the Sony Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia X Performance. Largely speaking, the three devices are quite similar and all boast the same display size, although the XA comes with the lesser camera megapixel count and smaller display resolution As well as reductions in RAM and storage too. While the main difference between the Sony Xperia X and X Performance is that the latter lives up to its namesake by coming powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and the Xperia X sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650. To add to the quickly expanding X range, Sony then went and introduced another new Xperia X handset, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra earlier this month. One of the main differences being that the Xperia XA Ultra comes sporting a 16-megapixel front-facing camera making it an ideal option for the more selfie-oriented user.
Since the initial MWC unveil, the early Xperia X devices (X, XA and X Performance) have become available to buy in select regions. Although, the U.S. is not one of those regions. That said, following the initial announcement of the Xperia X range, the company did confirm that they will be coming to the U.S. at some point. Now and in spite of no firm details on when the smartphones will be launched in the U.S., it seems as though the U.S. side of Sony Xperia has recently uploaded some promotional videos of the handsets to its YouTube channel.
The videos were all uploaded yesterday and there are four videos in total, one for each handset (excluding the Xperia XA Ultra). The first three videos are all short clips for the Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia X Performance and as you might expect, focus heavily on the features of the respective X member. While the last video is much longer and looks to be a general Xperia X range promotional video. One which briefly touches on the whole range, again with the exception of the Xperia XA Ultra.
