Entrepreneurship is alive and well in today’s world. Many people have their own business on top of their day job, in some cases it is their day job. With technology these days, you can keep on top of your business when you’re not at your desk. Making things much easier. And here are a few apps that will help you run your business straight from your smartphone or tablet.
Google My Business
Your business is more than likely involved with Google’s services some way or another. With the Google My Business app, you can update data that may appear on Google Maps and other Google services, as well as responding to reviews left about your business. The app allows you to upload pictures of what your business may look like, that will display on Google Maps when users search for your business.
Google AdWords
If you are looking to get the word out about your business, AdWords can be a great tool as well. This allows you to keep up with your various campaigns, as well as the ability to edit and create new ones. Perhaps the most interesting feature is the ability to call a Google Expert within the app and get help if you need it.
Google Analytics
If you own a website, Google Analytics is perhaps the most important tool you can use. Google Analytics gives you real-time stats on how many people are visiting your site, where they came from, where they are located and so much more. It’s a great way to see how campaigns are going, or even how well you’re doing with social media like Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
Todoist
As a business owner, you probably have a never-ending To-Do List. Heck everyone probably has one even if they don’t own their own business. Todoist is one of the best To-Do List apps available on the Google Play Store. It’s available on just about every platform and it’s very robust. You can have items repeat every day, every week day, every week, every month or every year. And if you buy the premium version, it unlocks a whole bunch of new features
Evernote
Need a note-taking app? Give Evernote a try, it has been voted as one of the best note-taking apps around. Like Todoist, it is also available on just about every platform imaginable. Evernote allows you to use different “notebooks” which is a great way of keeping different subjects separate from others. Evernote does give you free storage, although if you take a lot of notes, you may need to upgrade, which is still fairly cheap.
Hootsuite
Most businesses have a presence on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram and many other social networks. What if you could keep up with all of those social networks with one app or service? You can with Hootsuite. You can write one update and have it go out to all of your social networks. Saving you a ton of time. You can also keep up with hashtags and even mentions of your business.
Buffer
Not as robust as Hootsuite, but Buffer’s main feature is allowing you to schedule when updates go out, automatically. Instead of having to schedule each post individually. Buffer works with the three main social networks. This includes Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. You are limited to having just three profiles on the free version of Buffer. But if you upgrade for about $10/month, you can get unlimited profiles.
Dropbox
Need to share documents? Dropbox has you covered. Dropbox does have a few options for teams, but by default you can get up to 20GB of storage for free. Dropbox is a secure cloud storage platform that allows you to share documents, pictures and much more, easily and securely. Not to mention the fact that they have apps for just about every platform.
Google Drive
Another great cloud storage platform is Google Drive, and if your company is using Google Accounts, then it’s a no brainer to use. You get 15GB of storage for free (which is split between Drive, Photos and Gmail), and the best part is that documents created with Google Docs do not count against your quota. So you can have virtually unlimited space with Google Drive. On top of that, getting extra space is pretty cheap, with 1TB coming in at just $9.99/month.
CamCard
You probably get a lot of business cards from those that you work with. And with CamCard you can easily scan those business cards and put them in your contacts. Without needing to manually input each and every contact into your contacts app. It makes things so much simpler. You can also exchange your digital business card with people around you.
