Video: Meizu PRO 6 Review

The Meizu PRO 6 is one of the latest flagship smartphones to come out of China. It also undeniably looks a whole lot like an iPhone. Nonetheless, the PRO 6 is a fantastic smartphone and the first deca-core smartphone available right now. We’ve already written a pretty lengthy review on the PRO 6, now it’s time to take that into video form. We’ve got about a 10-minute video review of the Meizu PRO 6, which is definitely worth checking out.

Specs for the Meizu PRO 6 include a 5.2-inch 1920×1080 resolution display, powered by the MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is a 64GB of storage model, however, there is no micro SD card slot this time around. One of the biggest changes from the PRO 5 announced last summer. We also have a pretty small 2560mAh battery inside, which turned out to be a pretty decent battery, actually. We were able to get through a full day of use with the battery, without much of a problem.

Perhaps one of the more interesting features of the Meizu PRO 6 is that LED flash ring that is below the camera. This flash ring has 10 LED flashes there and they are able to give off different temperatures. Which makes it easier to get pictures in their natural light. Definitely something worth having, especially when you’re taking pictures in low-light or almost complete darkness. The camera is a 21-megapixel shooter, which turned out to be pretty good. However, the question we kept asking ourselves was how did it stack up to the Galaxy S7, LG G5, and HTC 10. It’s a tough one to really gauge right now, but the PRO 6 can definitely compete.

The Meizu PRO 6 is available now. It costs 2499 RMB for the 32GB and 2799 RMB for the 64GB model. Remember that translated, that’s about $380 and $420 USD. However to import the Meizu PRO 6 into the US, you are going to be paying quite a bit more. Even those in Europe will be paying quite a bit more. Additionally, the PRO 6 doesn’t work completely on US carrier networks. You’ll get HSPA+ but now LTE. Enjoy our video review!
