360-Branded Handsets Get Certified, SD820 & Helio X20 In Tow

Qihoo 360 is a Chinese company which is best known for their software offerings, but they also dabble in the hardware department as well. You might have heard of a Chinese company called ‘QiKU’ which released three smartphones last year. Well, earlier this year, QiKU basically got re-branded to ‘360’, which is not that odd considering Qihoo 360 was backing QiKU all along, and even though nothing has been confirmed yet, QiKU seems to be Qihoo 360’s company basically. Anyhow, the 360 N4 flagship was announced last month, it is powered by the Helio X20 SoC, and comes with 4GB of RAM. Well, two additional 360-branded devices just got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), let’s see what they have to offer.

One of these devices seems to be the metal variant of the 360 N4 handset that was introduced last month. The phone sports similar specs to the 360 N4, though it looks a bit different, and it is made out of metal, not plastic. This smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The phone will be fueled by the Helio X20 64-bit deca-core SoC running at 2GHz, and a massive 4,920mAh battery will also going to be included here. Camera sensors have not been listed by TENAA, but the listing confirms this phone will sport two cameras (one up front, one on the back, and the image of the device reveals that as well), and a fingerprint scanner will also be available, it will be located on the back of this phone. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this phone, and the device measure 151.94 x 75.28 x 8.48mm, while it will weight 176 grams.

Now, the other device that was certified looks a bit different than the one we just talked about, and it’s quite a bit bigger. This is 360’s upcoming phablet, and a new flagship at the same time. This handset will sport a 6-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED panel, 3GB / 4GB of RAM (two listings surfaced) and 32GB / 64GB of expandable internal storage. This phablet will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC running at 2.15GHz, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. The phone will ship with two cameras on the back, and one up front, though TENAA’s listing does not reveal which sensors can we expect to be included here. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come out of the box on this phablet, and the device will sport a fingerprint scanner on the back, and will be made out of metal. This phablet will measure 156.5 x 80 x 8.3mm, while it will weight 175 grams, and sport a 3,600mAh battery.
