Elephone is a company you have probably heard of by now, despite the fact this is a relatively small company compared to Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, etc. Elephone had introduced several devices this year, and the most notable releases are their Elephone P9000, P9000 Lite and P9000 Edge handsets. All of these devices were announced back in January, and the first two are actually already available for purchase from Chinese resellers. The P9000 Edge has seen some redesigns since the announcement, so it seems like Elephone didn’t really showcase the final design of the device. Either way, the P9000 Edge is going to be released soon, and so will the Elephone P20 handset which surfaced a while back.
Now, the Elephone P9000 and P20 have something in common, they’re both ‘bezel-less’ devices. Neither of these two phones have bezel on the sides, aside from the frame, of course. Well, the company seems to be planning to release yet another such handset in the future, a device which sports a curved display on both sides, and resembles the Galaxy S7 Edge quite a bit, both in terms of build materials (metal + glass) and general design. Now, if you take a look at the renders in the gallery down below, you’ll get to see a truly gorgeous design. This is the upcoming Elephone S7 smartphone which will be announced by the company at some point this year. These images come from our source at the company, and you might say that this info is quite reliable.
Now, the images are not the only piece of info we have, our source has also shared some spec info here. The Elephone S7 will be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, an SoC which we’ve seen included in a number of devices released in the last couple of months. This SoC ships with the Mali T880 GPU which will be in charge of graphics processing, of course. Now, our source tells us that the phone will be available in a number of different variants, and that the price will range from $99.99 all the way to $189.99. Unfortunately, we don’t have any more spec info to share with you, but we’ll report back as soon as we get more info, stay tuned.
