Today’s Tech World 2016 conference revealed quite the handful of devices, including the official announcements for the Moto Z family and the first Tango-powered smartphone, Lenovo’s PHAB2 Pro. In addition to the PHAB2 Pro, Lenovo also announced two other phones that were part of that lineup, known as the PHAB2 and the PHAB2 Plus, both of which are more geared towards the low-end and mid-range markets. Both devices feature a 6.4-inch display just like the PHAB2 Pro, albeit with different resolution screens as the regular PHAB2 comes with an HD display, while the PHAB2 Plus comes with a Full HD display.
We were able to get some hands on time with each device at the conference to give you a closer look at the handsets before they are slated to hit shelves this Fall, each with its own gallery of images that you can see below. The Lenovo PHAB2 will be the beginner device, coming in at $199 and sporting a MediaTek Quad-Core MT 8735 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space that is expandable up to 128GB. It’s also got a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, and it’s powered by a 4,50 mAh battery.
As for the Lenovo PHAB2 Plus, the phone will end up costing $299 when it launches this Fall. The screen size as stated is still 6.4-inches but has been bumped up to a Full HD resolution. It carries the same 4,050 mAh battery on the inside and has the same amount of RAM at 3GB, the same 32GB of storage, and it’s also using a MediaTek Quad-Core processor, although it was bumped up to the MT 8783 chip. The camera on the back of the PHAB2 Plus is a 13MP sensor as well, but the front camera was bumped from 5MP to 8MP. Both devices are running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, so the software experience will be pretty much up to date. Both devices have a slightly different design for the camera on the back, and the PHAB2 does not come with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the device, although both phones are pretty much the same size and dimensions.
