HTC Desire 630 Is Now Official In India, And Priced At $222

The HTC 10 was announced back in April, and as it turns out, HTC did a really good job this time around. Now, as it’s usually the case, HTC tends to release a number of Desire-branded smartphones throughout the year. These are the company’s mid-range smartphones, and they actually announced quite a few of them this year, including the Desire 630 which was introduced back in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, alongside the Desire 530 and Desire 825. Well, this device has now arrived in India as well, let’s see what it has to offer, shall we.

The HTC Desire 630 can be considered to be an entry-level, and even a mid-range smartphone by some standards. This handset sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) Super LCD display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 400 SoC which runs at 1.6GHz, and the Adreno 305 GPU is here for graphics processing. The 13-megapixel shooter (BSI sensor, f/2.4 aperture) is placed on the back of the phone, and a 5-megapixel camera (BSI sensor, f/2.8 aperture) is available on the front side of this device. This handset comes with two SIM card slots, while BoomSound and Dolby Audio are also a part of this package, and so is the 2,200mAh non-removable battery. 4G LTE connectivity is available here, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Desire 630, along with HTC’s Sense 7 UI. The phone measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.3mm, while it weighs 140 grams. It is also worth mentioning that the phone doesn’t have any physical keys up front, you’ll get to use on-screen buttons, and the phone is made out of plastic (polycarbonate).

The HTC Desire comes to India in Stratus White Remix and Graphite Grey color variants. The device is priced at Rs. 14,990 ($222) in the country, and it is already available through HTC India eStore, and various retail stores in India.
