Xiaomi had released a number of interesting devices last year, including their flagship phablet Mi Note and Mi Note Pro phablet devices. These two devices have arrived back in January last year, and users have been wondering when will Xiaomi introduced their successors. The company had already announced the Mi 5 flagship smartphone this year, as well as a number of other devices, but the Mi Note 2 is still nowhere to be found. Well, a couple of days ago, a report surfaced saying that the Mi Note 2 might arrive in July considering the fact that the company’s co-founder said that Xiaomi is preparing a new flagship for July.
Having that in mind, a new Mi Note 2 leak surfaced today, and it seems like we’re getting three different Mi Note 2 variants. This information actually comes from Feng Weiwen, the editor of Shenzen Digital Technology. According to Mr. Weiwen, the Mi Note 2 will arrive in three variants, and one of them will ship with a curved display. The base model of Xiaomi’s upcoming phablet will ship with a single camera on the back, while quick charging and Hi-Fi audio will also be a part of the package. The second model will also feature Hi-Fi audio, but will come with two camera sensors on the back, and will sport an even faster quick charging tech. Now, the third variant will sport the aforementioned curved display, and a dual camera setup on the back, and quick charging will also be included. Mr. Weiwen did not reveal any more spec info, but if you look at the image above, you’ll get to see the leaked Mi Note 2.
The Mi Note 2 will, quite probably, ship with the Snapdragon 820 or the yet-unannounced Snapdragon 821, and you can also expect the phone to ship with plenty of RAM. The Mi Note 2 will probably come with 4GB of RAM, though a 6GB RAM model is also a possibility. Based on the leaked image, the device’s design will resemble Mi 5’s design, which means you can expect it to be made out of metal and glass, while a metal + ceramic variant is also a possibility. Either way, stay tuned, we’ll report back as soon as more info pops up.
