Leap Day Is A Simple Game Which Gets A New Level Every Day

Games for mobile platforms are getting better and better thanks to improved hardware on smartphones / tablets. Despite that, however, we’re still seeing tons of simple, graphically non-demanding titles being released, and that’s probably never going to change. That being said, we’ve recently stumbled upon a platformer which is quite popular in the Google Play Store, let’s talk more about it, shall we.

The game we’ll talk about here is called ‘Leap Day’, and it has been available on the Google Play Store for quite some time now. This game currently holds a 4.4-star rating in the Play Store, and has been downloaded somewhere between 100,000 and 500,000 times. This title is a simple platformer no matter which way you look at it, and you get an extra level to finish every single day, believe it or not. Nitrome, the company behind Leap Day, changes the location of every level they upload, so you basically get fresh content every single day, while they also change other elements in the game, such as your opponents (monsters), traps, etc. The gameplay is quite simple, you play in portrait mode, and all you have to do is tap the screen at the right time in order to make our hero avoid all sorts of traps and what not. Your characters moves on its own, so you don’t need to point him in the right direction or anything of the sort. The graphics isn’t exactly top notch, but it’s more than appropriate for such a game, even the in-game music fits. If you’ve ever played really old platformers, you might really enjoy Leap Day.

Leap Day might be the latest in Nitrome’s game arsenal, but this company has released a number of interesting gaming titles for Android to date, in case you’re interested. We’ve included Leap Day’s official video and images down below, just in case you’d like to check those out before you download this game. It is also worth mentioning that Leap Day includes in-game purchases, but the game is free to play. If you’d like to download it, click on the Google Play banner which is located below this article.
