Virtual Reality (VR) is definitely becoming a thing. A number of companies have already released their VR headsets, while Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are quite probably the best-known ones. This app lets you check out 360 stereo panoramic images on your smartphone, though you will need to own Google Cardboard though, of course. Anyhow, the app utilizes two NVIDIA technologies in order to offer the best possible experience with Cardboard. The NVIDIA Ansel technology actually lets you capture in-game screenshots. You can compose your shots from wherever you want, and adjust it with post-process filters. This tech also allows you to capture HDR images in high fidelity formats on your personal computer, and that was you can share screenshots in 360 in case you’d like to check them out on your phone later on.
The other tech NVIDIA included in this app is called NVIDIA Iray, which essentially utilizes NVIDIA’s GPUs, and lets you generate an even more immersive VR experience, says NVIDIA. The NVIDIA Iray utilizes ray tracking in order to deliver precision, and the company says that this can be quite useful to architects.
