The Meizu PRO 6 is Meizu’s newest flagship. This smartphone was announced back in April, and it has been available for purchase in China for quite some time now. The PRO 6 is basically a smartphone alternative to the PRO 5 flagship phablet that was announced at the end of last year. This phone has plenty to offer both in terms of specs and design, and it’s actually quite affordable. The company had introduced this phone in Dark Gray, Silver, Red, Gold and Rose Gold color variants at launch, but the Red and Rose Gold models never saw the light of day, until now that is, read on.
The Red and Rose Gold Meizu PRO 6 devices posed for a camera a couple of days ago when both of these devices leaked out. Back then, it was quite obvious Meizu is getting ready to release both of these variants, and that’s exactly what just happened. The company has announced on their official Weibo (Chinese social network) account, that the Red and Rose Gold Meizu PRO 6 models have been released. The two variants of the Meizu PRO 6 will be available starting June 18th directly from Meizu, or via Lynx, Suning or Jingdong Mall (JD.com) stores. Both of these variants will cost you 2,499 Yuan ($380) if you’re interested, and the specs remain unchanged here, as expected. With that in mind, let’s take a quick look at the specs, shall we.
The Meizu PRO 6 sports a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED pressure sensitive display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of native storage. The device is fueled by the MediaTek Helio X25 64-bit deca-core processor, along with the Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The 21-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available up front. The 2,560mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, and Meizu’s Flyme OS comes pre-installed here on top of Android. The device ships with two SIM card slots, and a Type-C USB 3.1 port is located on the bottom of this phone. The Meizu PRO 6 measures 147.7 x 70.8 x 7.3mm, while it weighs 160 grams.
