Rumor: Meizu To Unveil MX6 On July 19th In China

Meizu had released a couple of smartphones this year, including their new flagship, the Meizu PRO 6, which was announced back in April. The Meizu PRO 6 announcement came as a bit of a surprise considering the Meizu PRO 5 launched in September last year, and quite a few people wondered why didn’t Meizu introduce the MX6, and when will that phone arrive. Well, a rumor which surfaced last month claimed that the device will land on June 20th, and as you can see, that did not happen. Well, a new rumor surfaced recently, and it has a somewhat different information for us, read on.

According to the info which surfaced in China, the device will actually land on July 19th, which means we’re still a month away from the announcement of this smartphone. This rumor really did not share any more details aside from the launch date of the Meizu MX6, and we do not know how accurate this info is, we’ll just have to wait and see. Now, as far as Meizu MX6’s specs are concerned, this smartphone is expected to be made out of metal, and ship with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, just like its predecessor, which will make it larger than the Meizu PRO 6. MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor was mentioned quite a few times thus far, and we’re guessing Meizu will release two variants of this smartphone, a 3GB and 4GB RAM models, which will ship with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage, respectively. The 20.7-megapixel camera will probably going to be included on the back of the Meizu MX6, and an 8-megapixel snapper is expected to be available on its front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will quite probably come pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Meizu’s Flyme UI.

The Meizu MX6 might ship with a pressure sensitive display like the Meizu PRO 6, but we’re still not sure about that. Chances are this smartphone will resemble Meizu’s other device which landed this year, and you can expect it to cost around 1,799 Yuan ($274), at least according to previously leaked information.
