The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones are the company’s most powerful devices to date. These two smartphones have been selling really well for Samsung, and mainly thanks to those sales, Samsung has managed to increase their profits significantly. That being said, this Korea-based company tends to release quite a few smartphones a year, including a number of lower-end devices, like their ‘Galaxy J’ devices, for example. The Galaxy J2 (2016) has popped up on GFXBench, AnTuTU and even got certified by the FCC lately, but the phone hasn’t been announced just yet. The all-new Galaxy J3 handset has surfaced in renders earlier this month, and the company has just announced that phone, read on.
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy J3, and the next-gen smartphone has just been announced in China, and it is called the Galaxy J3 Pro. This is an entry-level smartphone, and has been listed on Samsung’s official website. This phone is headed to China Telecom, one of China’s largest carriers, and we presume Samsung will announce expanded availability of this smartphone in the coming weeks. The Galaxy J3 Pro sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. The 8-megapixel snapper (f/2.0 aperture) is placed on the back of the Galaxy J3 Pro, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available on its front side. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this phone, and on top of it, you’ll find Samsung’s custom UI. This is a dual-SIM handset which supports 4G LTE connectivity, and a 2,650mAh battery is also a part of this package.
As you can see, the Galaxy J3 Pro is somewhat more powerful than its predecessor which shipped with an inferior SoC, 1.5GB of RAM and only 8GB of native storage. The Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro costs 990 Yuan ($150) in China, and it will be available for purchase through China Telecom really soon, for those of you who are interested. As soon as Samsung releases more details regarding international availability (presuming they will), we’ll let you know.
