The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are Samsung’s current flagship smartphones. This Korea-based company has unveiled these two devices a couple of months ago during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and both of them have been selling extremely well for the company. That being said, Samsung has introduced a special (limited) edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge last year, the Iron Man-themed Galaxy S6 Edge, and the company has decided to continue that tradition, read on.
At the end of last month, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition, which is essentially a Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. The specs of this smartphones are identical to the original, but unlike the original S7 Edge handset, this device is all-black with gold accents, and it sports Batman’s logo on the back. In addition to this, Samsung has added a Batman theme on the device, and some Batman wallpapers are also included here. This device actually comes with Samsung’s Gear VR headset, Injustice game credit and vouchers for Oculus VR content. We did not know the price of this smartphone, well, until now. The company did not start selling this device officially, but the phone is now available in China on Jingdong Mall (JD.com), one of China’s largest retailers. The phone is priced at 6,288 Yuan ($958) on JD.com, and it will start shipping June 13th. As you can see, the device is quite expensive, though truth be told, we did not expect it to be much cheaper than that considering this is a special edition variant of Samsung’s most expensive smartphone, and you also get the Gear VR headset here, plus the aforementioned Injustice credit.
The device features a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED panel, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC fuels this phone, and a 3,600mAh battery is also a part of this package and it is not removable. The 12-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of the device, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available up front. This device is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on it along with Samsung’s custom UI. Samsung originally said that the device will launch in China, Singapore, Russia, Korea and Latin America in June, and it seems like this is the first listing we’ve spotted thus far.
