The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge handset is one of the hottest smartphones out there at the moment. This handset was announced alongside the regular Galaxy S7 back in February during the Mobile World Congress. Since then, Samsung has managed to sell quite a few Galaxy S7 Edge units, and the sales of their Galaxy S7 devices significantly improved Samsung Mobile’s profits. That being said, the company tends to release special editions of their flagship offerings every year, and it seems like we’ll get several of them this time around, read on.
The company had introduced the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition last month, which is essentially a Batman-themed smartphone. A year ago, they’ve introduced the Iron Man-themed Galaxy S6 Edge, and it seems like we’ll get yet another Limited Edition Galaxy S7 Edge this year. Back in March, SamMobile said that the Olympic Edition of the Galaxy S7 might be in the works, and a well-known tipster, @evleaks, shared the alleged image of this smartphone earlier today. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see a rather interesting phone. The design is, of course, identical to the regular Galaxy S7 Edge (and specs will probably be as well), but the accents on it are definitely not. The phone’s earpiece will be all-white, and the accent around the home button will sport that very same color. If you flip the device around, however, you’ll get the black, white, red, green and blue combination. The Samsung branding will remain white, the device is black, and the Olympic sign will be blue, as will accents around the camera, LED flash and rear-facing sensors. Interestingly enough, the power / lock button will be read, and the volume rocker buttons will be green. These are the Olympic colors (black, blue, yellow, green and red), so it’s not exactly surprising Samsung found a way to include them all on this Limited Edition Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone.
This device has not been officially announced just yet, nor did Samsung confirm that it is coming, but this leak seems legit. At this point, it seems like it’s only matter of time before Samsung introduces this handset, so stay tuned.
