8. Google Nexus 5X
Google’s Nexus 5X might not be the most affordable smartphone in India, and is certainly not a best buy mid-ranger offering in the country, but if you’re in a market for Google’s device which offers vanilla Android, and you can’t afford the Nexus 6P, this is the way to go. The Nexus 5X performs great despite the fact it sports only 2GB of RAM, and it also has one of the best cameras out there, which is a huge plus.
7. OnePlus 2
The OnePlus 3 announcement is right around the corner, but OnePlus 2 is still a very powerful and thus appealing device. This phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 810, comes with 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 16GB / 64GB of internal storage. The 5.5-inch 1080p display is also included here, and the device can be purchased in India for Rs. 20,999 ($314). The more expensive model with 4GB of RAM costs Rs. 22,999 ($344), in case you were wondering.
6. Samsung Galaxy Note 5
The Galaxy Note 5 is still Samsung’s most powerful phablet. This device was introduced back in August last year, and even though the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge beat the Note 5, those are not phablet devices. This handset comes with 4GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch QHD display, and it is fueled by the Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor. The Galaxy Note 5 is still quite expensive in India, but if you’re in a market for a flagship phablet, this is one of the best ones out there.
5. LG G5
The LG G5 was announced back in April, and it represents a different approach from LG. This is a semi-modular smartphone which offers high-end specs, and a great camera. The LG G5 is quite expensive, as most of you know, but if you’re looking for a different handset which lets you insert various modules inside, you really don’t have all that many options, now do you. The LG G5 comes with a 5.3-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 820 processor.
4. Google Nexus 6P
The Google Nexus 6P sports the same camera as the Nexus 5X, but unlike its smaller sibling, this device comes with a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display, and is made out of metal. 3. Xiaomi Mi 5
Xiaomi has introduced quite a few devices this year, but the Mi 5 is the most powerful of them all. This handset comes in both 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, and it is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC. The Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch fullHD display, and Xiaomi’s MIUI OS skin comes on top of Android. The Mi 5 is more affordable than its competitors, and it has plenty to offer for the asking price. 2. HTC 10
The HTC 10 is the company’s new flagship, and quite a powerful one at that. This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, ships with 4GB of RAM, and its camera is quite capable. On top of all that, the device is made out of metal, and its build quality is top notch. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes out of the box, and HTC’s custom UI (which is quite light by the way) is available on top of Google’s OS. HTC 10 is quite pricey in India, though it’s also one of the most powerful smartphones out there at the moment.
1. Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
Samsung has unveiled the company’s new flagships, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, back in February during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. These two phones have been selling really well for the company despite their high price tag. The two devices are made out of metal, and even though they sport similar specs, they’re somewhat different on the outside. Both the Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820 variants are available, and the rest of the specs are also quite premium. If you’re looking for the best of the best at the moment, these two devices are certainly the ones to consider, they’re amongst the best, that’s for sure.
