U.S. Pre-Orders Begin For The Sony Xperia X Performance

Last month, Sony announced the official pricing in the U.S. for the upcoming Xperia X range of handsets, and at the time of the announcement the only phone which was available for pre-order was the original Xperia X. That left users who were wanting either the Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, or the high-end Xperia X Performance, waiting just a little while longer. Luckily, during their initial announcement Sony did mention when they had planned for the pre-orders to go live, which was slated to happen yesterday on June 19th.

As of today, it would appear that pre-orders for the Sony Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA, and the Xperia XA Ultra are live on both the Best Buy and B&H Photo websites, so those who were wanting to pick up either of these phones now have the opportunity, although it is worth reiterating that the phones don’t officially launch until next month, while the Xperia X launches on June 26th. For Amazon members, or anyone who just prefers to shop on Amazon when they shop online, the pre-orders for the Xperia X Performance and the other two phones do not appear to be live yet. Keep in mind that you can currently find the Xperia X Performance on Amazon, but these sales are not for the U.S. model of the phone and are for the international model that comes with no warranty, this means that for now, U.S. consumers are limited to just Best Buy and B&H Photo if they want the U.S. models of any of these three devices.

As a recap, the Sony Xperia X Performance will set consumers back $699 for the top tier specs, while you can save a little bit more cash if you downgrade to the Xperia XA Ultra or the Xperia XA, which will be $369.99 and $279.99 respectively. Sales of both the Xperia X Performance and the Xperia XA will begin on July 27th, while Xperia XA Ultra sales begin just a little bit later on July 24th. If you’re a Sony fan, you can also pick up the Xperia X pre-orders which went live on Amazon earlier this month.
