Vivo Confirms X7 & X7 Plus Handsets Will Land On June 30th

Vivo is a China-based smartphone manufacturer you’ve probably heard of by now. This company had released the Vivo XPlay 5 smartphone earlier this year, a device which sports a curved display like we’ve seen on the Galaxy S6 Edge and S7 Edge, and on top of it, you can also purchase this smartphone in a 6GB of RAM variant. We’re not here to talk about the XPlay 5 though, but two new smartphones Vivo will announce soon, read on.

The company had released a number of teasers in the last week or so via social media, and all those teasers were related to their upcoming Vivo X7 and X7 Plus devices. The company had already confirmed that the X7 & X7 Plus will be fueled by the Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor, and that they will ship with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0). These phones will also ship with a 16-megapixel front-facing snapper, and the device(s) will sport both NFC and fast charging. That being said, the company’s all-new teaser reveals that both of these devices will be unveiled on June 30th in China.

Now, if you take a look at the leaked image down below (second image in the gallery), you’ll also notice the design of the Vivo X7 (and we’re presuming the X7 Plus will sport an identical design). The Vivo X7 will be made out of metal, and will sport really thin bezel on the sides. The fingerprint scanner will be placed below the display, though we still don’t know if this is a physical home key, or a capacitive button, there are no visible capacitive keys on the sides, at least they can’t be seen in the provided images. This image more or less reveals the design of the whole device, and also confirms that the X7 will be available in a Gold color variant.

The Vivo X7 and X7 Plus will be mid-range smartphones, but will belong in the upper mid-range category. The Vivo XPlay 5 will still be Vivo’s flagship smartphone after these two phones arrive, though these two devices are expected to be quite a bit more affordable than the Vivo XPlay 5, though we still don’t know how much exactly will they cost.
