Armorsuit Outs Accessories for Galaxy S7 Edge+

Last year, Samsung announced two “edge” smartphones, in the Galaxy S6 Edge and then the Galaxy S6 Edge+ which came out with the Galaxy Note 5 in the second half of the year. They were two different sizes, hence the name “Plus” on the larger model, and many loved the Galaxy S6 Edge+ over the standard Galaxy S6 Edge. This year, Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at Mobile World Congress, and they sported a 5.2-inch and a 5.5-inch display. With the Galaxy S7 Edge sporting a larger display, many felt that Samsung wouldn’t produce a Galaxy S7 Edge+ later this year. And many of the rumors surrounding the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 have also backed that up. However, if this latest listing from Armorsuit is to be believed, it looks like we may be seeing a Galaxy S7 Edge+ after all.

Armorsuit, a company who creates carbon fiber skins for smartphones, have listed a number of skins for the Galaxy S7 Edge+. Now it’s possible that they are thinking that the dual curved edge Galaxy Note 7 is the Galaxy S7 Edge+, seeing as recent rumors have pointed towards that. But it’s also likely that Armorsuit knows a bit more than the rest of us do, in terms of what Samsung is going to be announcing next month at Unpacked. The image below does show a device, but it’s important to note that a lot of times these manufacturers will use an older press image for their products. As this does look a whole lot like the Galaxy S7 Edge. So it’s tough to really read into that for more information.

Keep in mind that this is not confirmation of a Galaxy S7 Edge+ coming our way. And we’ll need to take this all with a grain of salt. But so far, it does look like we may be getting a second smartphone from Samsung. Which wouldn’t be surprising, since the last four Unpacked events have had two flagships (Galaxy Note 4 & Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 & Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5 & Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy S7 & Galaxy S7 Edge).
