Diep.io Is Miniclip's New Multiplayer Tank Game

If you play mobile games then you may be familiar with Miniclip, the development studio behind wildly popular games Agar.io, Plague Inc., and Gravity Guy. Agar.io might be one of their most popular titles, having reached an excess of 50 million downloads on the Play Store, and as of today Miniclip has just launched diep.io, an all-new action game where you battle other players as a tank trying to take down your enemies. Of course, in the game you don’t look like a tank in the traditional sense, but the design gives the game a little bit more of a lighthearted feel and should make it perfect for teens as well as adults. The game may not end up as popular as Pokémon GO, but then again this would be difficult for any game at this point it seems, considering Pokémon GO has already reached over 35 million downloads, just 15 million shy of Agar.io, and it’s only been a couple of weeks.

Diep.io is a multiplayer game at its core, so upon entering a match you’ll be going head to head against other players online and if you fancy the challenges and sometimes strife that can come along with competitive gameplay, you’ll enjoy being able to make attempts at shooting down your enemies and climbing your way up the leader boards.

Although diep.io is considered to be a massively multiplyer online game, you won’t be floating around on the board with hundreds of thousands of other players all at once. You will however, be able to jump into matches that have dozens of players in a single game, and there will likely be loads of players all playing at the same time across the many different servers. The goal will be simple as your aim is to survive till the end. Be the last tank standing, if you will. This won’t necessarily be easy, though, as you’ll need to move and dodge attacks from other players as you set out to shoot your opponents at the same time. As you take down players and play more matches, you can earn experience and level up your tank, which allows you to boost its stats and increase things like bullet damage, something that is sure to come in very hand later in the game. There are also different tank classes with unique weapons, so you can choose the one that best fits your personality or play style. The game will be free to play, although there are in-app purchases that are optional.
