Leak: Near-Final Galaxy Note 7 Appears in New Photo

The Galaxy Note 7 is clearly one of the most-anticipated smartphone releases of the Summer, and arguably of the year, and with that it should be no surprise that more and more of this leaks continue to appear. Just this week, we have already heard about the Galaxy Note 7’s possible underwater stylus, seen fresh images of the device, and even got a glimpse of it on video to boot. August 2nd appears to be the magical date for the final reveal of the upcoming device, and considering how successful the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have been for Samsung, this could be a big launch for the South Korean firm. Today, we have a new leak to share with you, this time a photo of what appears to be a near-final Galaxy Note 7 caught in the wild.

The above image comes to us from TechDroider, and shows off the black version of the device, with the always-on feature running on the display. Thanks to which, we can see that the photo was taken yesterday, on Wednesday 30th of July, which is pretty much two weeks away from the official August 2nd unveiling. As we’re now this close to the official launch of the Galaxy Note 7, it’s a wonder that it took us this long to see a photo of what appears to be a final version of the device. At this point, Samsung will have probably put the Galaxy Note 7 into mass-production and retailers as well as carriers all over the world will no doubt be poised and ready to have stock to sell to patient buyers.

Alongside this latest leaked image is more speculation on what could be on the inside of Samsung’s latest and greatest, namely the previously-mentioned Snapdragon 820 as well as the 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5.0-megapixel front-facing camera. Not mentioned here however, was the much-rumored Iris scanner, thought to be launching with the Galaxy Note 7. In the picture however, there does appear to be what looks like two cameras on the front panel, and one of those could in fact be this Iris scanner, which will allow users to secure their device’s content, quite literally, for their eyes only.
