The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be announced next month by Samsung at an Unpacked event in New York City. Last year, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 5 ahead of its usual time-frame (typically announced in the first week of September, ahead of IFA), so that it could be on store shelves before the upcoming iPhone was announced. It appears that the South Korean tech giant is looking to do the same this year. The rumor mill has been working overtime in the past few weeks, showing us plenty about the unannounced device. Now, it appears that a few renders have leaked out, regarding the Galaxy Note 7.
These renders that you see below, show us just about everything about the device, and it also lines up almost perfectly with the other leaks and rumors that have surfaced. The Galaxy Note 7, appears to have a curved display, similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge. Additionally, there’s an extra sensor on the front – lining up with the leak from earlier this week showing the front panel – and that likely is where the Iris scanner is located. On the back, you see the same camera module that we’ve seen from other Samsung devices like the Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6. Unfortunately, it’s tough to tell whether it’ll be the exact same camera from the Galaxy S7. The SIM card slot – and likely micro SD card slot too – is located on the top, and what is the most interesting is that it appears that the Galaxy Note 7 is going to be sporting a USB Type-C port on the bottom. Something that was expected on the Galaxy S7, but didn’t happen.
Keep in mind that these are renders, and they may be renders of an older prototype that may not be the final version that Samsung will unveil soon. So, it’s important to take this all with a grain of salt, at least for now. It shouldn’t be much longer before the Galaxy Note 7 is officially unveiled though, and it’s expected to sport a 5.7 or 5.8-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, powered by the Snapdragon 820 and 6GB of RAM. With there also being an Exynos 8890 variant for other markets.
