For those just tuning in since last week, everything has now changed. This is due to the release of a new game, Pokémon GO. While new games come through every week, this one is a little different as it has literally taken the world by storm. Mixing augmented reality with the Pokémon franchise and offering those interested, a new way to ‘catch ‘em all’. Pokémon GO has arrived and has landed in a very big way. In fact, in spite of being barely a week old, the game is already pulling in record numbers and seeing some rather unfortunate events taking place while players look to catch their next Pokémon. Not to mention, it has raised some concerns about how much of customer’s data the game is likely to eat up. Although, if you are a T-Mobile customer, it looks like that is not an issue you will need to be concerned with anymore as T-Mobile is coming to the rescue of Pokémon Trainers with next week’s T-Mobile Tuesday offering.
According to T-Mobile, Pokémon GO players can expect quite the Pokémon GO themed T-Mobile Tuesday next week. First and foremost T-Mobile has confirmed that starting from July 19, their customers will be able to make use of free unlimited data on Pokémon GO for one full year. So T-Mobile customers will literally be able to make use of Pokémon GO all year and have all the data charges related to the app completely zeroed out. In addition, some of the other T-Mobile Tuesday staples will be on offer including another free Lyft ride and a Wendy’s frosty. Although as T-Mobile puts it, you will be able to use your free Lyft ride “to get to a new PokéStop or Gym” and use your free Wendy’s Frosty “to fuel up for your hunting trip”.
If you are a T-Mobile customer and currently a Pokémon GO player, then T-Mobile notes that the new Pokémon GO themed benefits should start to be advertised in the T-Mobile Tuesdays app from tomorrow. Although, you will obviously have to wait until Tuesday July 19 to claim the actual free Pokémon GO data exemption.
