Out There Chronicles Is An Immersive Graphic Novel Game

Games are available in various forms, and luckily for us, there’s plenty to choose from in the Google Play Store. As you all know, there are tons of gaming genres out there, but even if you know the genre of a particular game, it’s kind of hard to pinpoint what’s the gameplay like. The game we’ll talk about today is categorized as a ‘Role Playing’ game, and even though some might say that’s accurate, this is a Sci-Fi interactive graphic novel, so… definitely not what you’d expect considering its category, right? Anyhow, let’s talk more about the game, shall we.

The game in question is called ‘Out There Chronicles’, and it’s based on the universe of ‘Out There’, an award-winning space exploration game. Now, the story goes like this, after you’ve been out of it for a million years, you wake up on America, which is a planet colonized by people who fled the Earth. Now, in order to find your people, you’ll need to visit various planets and talk to various creatures. Now, do keep in mind that this story is set several million years before ‘Out There’, so you’ll getting a brand new story, of course. The game is written by FibreTigre, who is also an author of the original game, and considering this is an interactive graphic novel, don’t expect your usual gameplay.

The Out There Chronicles game contains over 80 achievements for you to get, and a complex dialogue system in which your choices will determine the game’s course. The illustrations are really nice, they’ve been made by Benjamin Carré, a french artist. The game’s interface is extremely simple, which was to be expected considering this is a graphic novel, not your regular game. On top of all this, the game’s music has been composed by Siddhartha Barnhoorn, the same artist that is responsible for the music in Out There and Antichamber titles. All in all, this is a really atmospheric game, and if you’re into Sci-Fi, and don’t mind playing an interactive graphic novel, this might be just the right game for you. Do keep in mind, however, that the game is not free, you’ll need to splash out $2.99 in order to play it.
