New information has come to light regarding the Oppo Find 9, one of three devices rumored to be revealed soon, including what looks to be a new image of the device itself. The image (which could be a design render) comes from Chinese microblogging site Weibo, and shows a front view of a black device that bears some resemblance to LG’s G4, with curved top and bottom edges and very slim side bezels.
As far as technical specifications, leaks up to this point have provided a pretty solid idea of what to expect next month. A 5.5 inch 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display with slim bezels, Snapdragon 821 chipset and a whopping 8 GB of RAM – more than some modern notebooks. The battery should be powerful enough to accommodate all of these high-demand specifications with ease at a generous 4100 mAh, and will use Super VOOC technology to supposedly provide a full charge of the battery in as little as fifteen minutes. One of the most interesting parts of this device so far is the camera hardware that is rumored to be included with it. The rear camera will reportedly sport a resolution of 21 MP and use a new kind of image stabilization called “SmartSensor”, which will stabilize the sensor on three axes instead of the usual two, and will operate with significantly less battery consumption. The front camera is a 16 MP shooter, which is quite an impressive resolution for a front-facing camera in comparison to other options on the market. It is rumored that the Find 9 will be released in two different versions, so these top-of-the-line specifications are likely for the more powerful of the two.
The device is expected to debut around the end of August, but there is no official release date or pricing information available yet. Judging from past Oppo products, the Find 9 should give customers a lot of phone for their money. Oppo, a Chinese manufacturer, has become increasingly popular as of late, likely a result of their continuous efforts to offer a great value by introducing devices with industry-leading specifications at mid-range price points. Last year’s Oppo Find 7 packed a ton of power under the hood, and the company doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
