The age of connectivity makes it easier for smartphone and PC users to communicate with colleagues, friends, and family from anywhere in the world, but keeping track of all the messaging services available on the market can become daunting. The majority of smartphone users have multiple chat applications on their phones, most of which don’t have a counterpart client for desktop. And while you may get in touch with some of your acquaintances through Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp, you may also find it necessary to install several other services on your device in order to be able and communicate with everyone else in your social circles. Thankfully, a new Chrome Web-based application called “All-in-One Messenger” makes everything easier, as it gives users the possibility to connect to multiple chat clients from a single window.
All-in-One Messenger is a new Web-based chat client which can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store for free. The application allows users to access numerous chat services, including Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Google Hangouts, from the same place without having to rely on multiple chat clients. The user interface is straightforward and lists a bunch of chat clients that are compatible with All-in-One Messenger. Users can choose a service, sign in with their account, and then simply manage and switch between different chat clients from a series of tabs located at the top of the All-in-One Messenger window. Different chat services have different login options, and for example, while WhatsApp allows users to link their account with All-in-One Messenger through a QR Code, Facebook Messenger and Google Hangouts rely on a more conservative method which requires the user to manually sign in with their accounts by providing an email address and password.
The Web-based Chrome application allows users to connect with quite a few other chat services aside from Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Hangouts, including Yahoo Messenger, Telegram, Skype, Slack, as well as chat services that are primarily used for communicating with fellow gamers, including Discord and Steam Chat.
