Galaxy Folder 2's Promo Images Surface Along With Its Specs

Flip phones were quite popular back in the day, well, flip phone cell phones that is. That is not the case with smartphones though, but despite that fact, Samsung has a tendency to release flip phone smartphones from time to time. Well, the company’s 2nd-gen Galaxy Folder seems to be on the way, as we’ve seen quite a few rumors regarding this smartphone already, not to mention that the device has been certified by both the FCC and TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC). That being said, a couple of new Galaxy Folder 2 images just surfaced, read on.

These images come from China, and as you can see, these seem to be Samsung’s leaked promotional images for the device, at least based on their looks. You can see the Galaxy Folder 2 itself in these images, along with the specs of this smartphone. The design itself looks nice, even though it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. In addition to all this, it’s worth mentioning that the device will be quite thin, at least based on the available info. The pictured phone here comes in Gold color variant, and that might even be the only variant available, at least according to TENAA. In any case, the Galaxy Folder 2 will sport a 3.8-inch display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This device will be fueled by one of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC’s running at 1.4GHz, while a 1,950mAh battery will also be a part of this package. The 8-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of the Galaxy Folder 2, while you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel snapper up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the Galaxy Folder 2, and on top of it, you’ll get Samsung’s custom UI, as per usual.

Now, the Galaxy Folder 2 is expected to cost $250, at least based on previous rumors. The leaked materials also reveal that the device will ship with USB 2.0, and that it will offer support for Bluetooth 4.2, while 4G LTE connectivity will be included as well, of course. That is more or less it, we still don’t know when will this phone see the light of day, but based on rumors, leaks and the fact that the device has been certified both in China and the US, we do expect it to launch soon.
